CÔNG TY TNHH THIẾT KẾ QUẢNG CÁO AN PHÁT
Publisher’s rating: CÔNG TY TNHH THIẾT KẾ QUẢNG CÁO AN PHÁT
The review examined a website claiming Aldi Süd was holding a new competition in which visitors could answer three questions to win an e-bike. It found that the giveaway was not presented on an official Aldi Süd web address: the address began with “ebicycle.club.” The article also reports that the giveaway page had no legal notice (Impressum), which it identifies as another indication that the site was not genuine. The review describes further checks of the page itself. It notes a grammatical error in the promised prize description: the site used “Marktführern” where correct German would use “Marktführer.” It also reports that proceeding through the survey redirected visitors to another website that then attributed the purported giveaway to a different company. Taken together, the address, missing legal notice, language error and change of purported sponsor supported the conclusion that the survey was not an Aldi Süd competition and would not provide an Aldi Süd e-bike.

"Manufacturing went into a hole" before coronavirus
Publisher’s rating: That's not right. Prior to the coronavirus outbreak, President Trump had added almost half a million manufacturing jobs during his first three years in office.
"We built the greatest economy in history"
Publisher’s rating: That's not right - there have been times in US history when the economy was stronger.
The post in question advertised a Facebook giveaway claiming that ten prizes of €1,000 would be awarded and used the name and photograph of AfD member of parliament Martin Sichert. The Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) reports that Sichert told the agency it was an identity-theft case intended to defraud trusting people and damage his reputation. It also reports that he had filed a police complaint and that his actual Facebook page warned about the giveaway. The Bundestag linked to that page from Sichert’s official parliamentary profile. The review compared the suspect profile with Sichert’s actual account. Although the fake profile reused the same photos, it had only a few posts, all made within the preceding days. Its URL used the name “antod.bodol,” whereas Sichert’s account used “sichertmartin.” These differences, together with the warning on the page linked from his Bundestag profile, support the conclusion that the giveaway was not posted by Sichert’s genuine account. The purported prize link led to another page displaying Sichert’s photos but lacking an imprint and asking users to register. Dpa said the onward link was not working when checked on 30 September 2020, so the excerpt does not establish what information that particular page would ultimately have requested. The review noted that similar fake giveaways can direct users to pages seeking details such as credit-card data; that is a warning about comparable scams, not evidence that this specific link did so.

The government has come up with a new bill – the ‘Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance (FRDI) Bill, 2017’, which has now been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee before getting it passed in the parliament
Publisher’s rating: MISLEADING
The post presented an old news article as evidence that the Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance (FRDI) Bill, 2017 was a new proposal still awaiting passage in Parliament. The review says the linked Hindu article was from 2017, and that the bill it discussed had been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee that August. Its account of the post also notes that the bill’s “bail-in” provision was part of the concern being circulated. To check whether the bill was still pending, the review says it checked the bill’s status on the Lok Sabha website. That check showed the bill had been withdrawn, so it was no longer pending in Parliament. The review therefore distinguishes the bill’s real 2017 committee referral from the post’s claim that it remained an active, pending bill. The review also addresses whether the government planned to bring it back. It reports that in July 2020 the Ministry of Finance clarified that the government had “not taken any decision to reintroduce the FRDI Bill.” This qualification matters: the evidence described supports that the 2017 bill had been withdrawn and that no decision to reintroduce it had been taken, not that the bill had never existed or had never been referred to the committee.
The review examines the claim that the Trachtenwear shop liebekleidung, promoted through Facebook accounts including “Liebekleidung.de” and “Liebekleidung,” is a trustworthy online retailer. Its investigation describes several warning signs on the shop’s website and in the accounts that directed customers there. The site had conspicuous spelling and presentation problems: “KINHER” appeared in place of “KINDER,” some sentences ended abruptly, and “Kehrt zurück” was used where “Rückerstattung” would be expected. The review also found that text in the shop’s terms of use matched text on suesschen.com. Its listed business address and managing director matched that other shop’s imprint as well. These similarities are reported as observations, not as proof of who operated either site. The review further reports that the liebekleidung Facebook profile picture came from a different fashion business in Bavaria; that business’s owner confirmed the photo was taken in her shop. One Facebook account listed Malaysia, Macau and Brazil as its administrators’ main locations. The imprint, as checked on 25 September 2020, included an address and email but lacked a telephone number or another contact option. Finally, the review cites Watchlist Internet’s warning about liebekleidung.de. Together, the documented site, account and imprint findings support the review’s conclusion about the shop’s trustworthiness.

"He [Joe Biden] has pledged a $4 trillion tax hike on almost all American families"
Publisher’s rating: The Biden tax plan would lead to $4tn in revenues (over a decade), according to analysis by the Tax Policy Center. However, this claim is misleading as the taxes would target the wealthiest Americans - not "almost all American families".
"Over the past three months, we have gained over 9 million jobs, a new record"
Publisher’s rating: This is misleading. It's true that - since April 2020 - there have been nine million people added to the US payroll, according to the US Bureau for Labor Statistics. But what Mr Trump didn't mention was that this rise followed a much bigger loss of 22 million people from the payroll in March, when measures to tackle the pandemic were introduced.
