The claim asks whether the Facebook-advertised Trachtenshop suesschen.com was a trustworthy online retailer. The investigation examined that specific website and its Facebook pages, including a post dated September 9, 2020. Its findings describe the site as unreliable based on several irregularities, rather than treating the advertising alone as proof. A central concern was the shop’s legal notice. The report says that, through September 23, it listed only an email address; further details were added afterward, but as of September 24 it still lacked a telephone number or another contact method. The report explains that customers could not clearly identify the contracting party and states that the imprint remained non-compliant. Separately, a reverse-image search found that product-site photographs came from other websites, including a Bavarian clothing shop. The owner told the agency that the images showed her shop, employees and fabrics, and that she herself appeared in one of them. The investigation also cited inconsistent languages and awkward product-page wording, and reported that the Facebook page’s transparency information gave Macau as the administrators’ main location. It said a domain lookup placed the server in Canada and that the website had been created on June 4, 2020. These are the review’s reported findings about the site at that time; the excerpt does not establish its present-day status. The report also noted that Austrian consumer-warning site Watchlist Internet listed suesschen.com among shops associated with non-delivery, counterfeit goods or data collection.
The claim concerns a Facebook page that appeared to represent the Austrian cinema company Dieselkino and promoted a giveaway of gift cards and cinema vouchers. The investigation examined that page and the giveaway, rather than a separate promotion: it reports that the page was created on 11 September 2020, the day the post appeared, and had only 53 likes as of 21 September. The page also lacked an imprint. These details were signs that it was not an established official account. The article reports that Dieselkino told Deutsche Presse-Agentur the page was a fake. The company said it announces giveaways exclusively through its official Facebook page and that its giveaways never involve costs. The article also notes that Dieselkino had posted a statement on its official Facebook page about the false giveaway. Taken together, the page’s creation date and limited history, the company’s direct response, and its stated official giveaway practice address whether this particular page and promotion were genuine.

The report investigated a website advertising an e-bike supposedly offered by Aldi Süd in return for answering questions. It found that the giveaway was not an Aldi Süd promotion: an Aldi Süd spokesperson told dpa that the purported e-bike contest was a “Fake.” The report also checked the site’s address and content. Its domain began with “al-sued.club,” which dpa said was not an official address of the retailer. The site’s wording included a grammatical error, and it had no legal notice listing the operator’s address and contact details. These details support the conclusion that the offer was not a genuine Aldi Süd promotion. The report points to the company’s own response as well as warning signs on the giveaway page; it does not describe an independently verified prize or a legitimate Aldi Süd contest.

Government incurs a loss of Rs. 2600 crores because of scribbled notes as they have to be replaced with new notes
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The claim concerns a supposed Rs. 2600-crore government loss from scribbled banknotes that have to be replaced. FACTLY’s review says neither the RBI nor the government provides specific figures for the value or volume of scribbled notes. It therefore treats scribbled notes as a subset of soiled notes and estimates the cost of printing replacements for the entire volume of soiled notes—a broader category, not a direct measurement of scribbled-note losses. For its estimate, the review describes multiplying the number of soiled notes of each denomination by the cost of printing a note of that denomination. It gives 2017–18 as an example, calculating Rs. 6844.28 crores for replacing the full volume of soiled notes. The review says it used printing-cost figures from 2017–18 and 2018–19, and reports estimated total replacement costs for soiled notes of Rs. 2739 crores in 2014–15, Rs. 2827 crores in 2015–16, Rs. 2600 crores in 2016–17, Rs. 6844 crores in 2017–18, and Rs. 1490 crores in 2018–19. It attributes the 2017–18 spike to the influx of demonetized notes. The Rs. 2600-crore figure thus appears in the review as an estimate for replacing all soiled notes in 2016–17, not as a measured loss from scribbled notes. The review reasons that scribbled notes are only a fraction of soiled notes, and that a note has already been in use before it becomes soiled; it also says not every soiled note is reprinted. On that basis, it concludes the cost attributable to scribbled notes would be much less than Rs. 2600 crores.
The claim concerns a Facebook post promising 30 payments of €1,000 in Ruediger Dahlke’s name. The post said participants had to follow the page, share it and register on an external website. The review reports that the profile had only the giveaway post publicly visible, and that its link led to a page displaying Dahlke’s images but no legal notice: “Im gefälschten Profil ist hingegen nur der Beitrag zum angeblichen Gewinnspiel öffentlich einsehbar. The strongest evidence reported is a direct response from Dahlke to the German Press Agency on 17 September 2020: “Auf Anfrage der Deutschen Presse-Agentur bestätigt Ruediger Dahlke am 17. The review also says that Dahlke warned about fake accounts using his name on his actual Facebook page and blog, describing attempts to exploit his community and obtain account details: “Auch auf seiner tatsächlichen Facebook-Seite und auf seinem Blog warnt Dahlke vor «Fake Accounts unter meinem Namen».” The registration destination warrants a careful distinction: the review says registrants were taken to a purported streaming platform called “Slashstar,” and notes warnings about that provider on two named scam-advisory sites. It characterizes the destination as a suspected phishing website, rather than reporting a confirmed finding about what happened to any individual’s data: “Wer sich registrieren möchte, landet bei einer vermeintlichen Streaming-Plattform namens «Slashstar».
EU-Vergleichszahlen legen deutlich geringere Unterschiede nahe.
