To check the image, the review reports conducting a reverse image search. It found a similar photo in a Times of India report dated 25 March 2010; that report’s caption identified Chavan and Bachchan at the commissioning ceremony of the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link. FACTLY also cites an Outlook India description of the same photo, which identifies the men as Chavan and Bachchan at the commissioning ceremony of the north-bound carriageway of the sea link in Mumbai. The review says the same photo appeared in The Hindu as well. The review also reports that, after the image circulated with the Dawood Ibrahim claim, Abhishek Bachchan clarified in a tweet that the person with his father was Ashok Chavan. Together, the earlier photo descriptions and the reported clarification support the review’s conclusion that the image was misidentified as showing Dawood Ibrahim.

The claim concerns a picture shared as showing Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and his wife displayed on a bus in the US. FACTLY reports that the image was manipulated: the bus in the underlying photograph was a “Hop on Hop off” tour bus operating in Bath, England, and the original image did not show the couple on it. The review concludes that a photo of the Bath bus had been altered and misrepresented as a US bus displaying their picture. To investigate, FACTLY says it used reverse image search and located the bus photograph on Wikimedia Commons, where it was described as a City Sightseeing tour bus in Bath. It also found a similar image of the Bath bus on Alamy. According to the review, neither image showed Ambedkar or his wife on the bus. These comparisons directly address the claimed bus image by tracing the bus depicted in it to an unaltered photograph without the couple’s picture. FACTLY separately searched for the image shown on the bus and found a similar photograph of Ambedkar and his wife in a Forward Press article. Taken together, the reported source comparisons indicate that the shared image combined a Bath tour bus with a separate picture of the couple; the evidence presented does not support the claim that the bus was in the US or that the couple’s picture appeared on it.

Its account describes the claim as circulating on social media; it does not establish that the alleged remark was a tweet. The reviewer says it searched Kalyanaraman’s Twitter account, @BjpKalyaan, and found no such statement: “அவரது ட்விட்டர் பக்கம் (@BjpKalyaan) சென்று தகவல் தேடியதில், எதுவும் காண கிடைக்கவில்லை.” The reviewer also says it contacted Kalyanaraman directly. He denied making the remark and said the circulating message was similar to an earlier rumor that he had threatened Surya and Surya’s brother, Karthi. He suggested the alleged wording drew on a saying associated with the Gounder community and had his name added: “இப்படி எந்த கருத்தும் வெளியிடவில்லை.” As an additional check, the reviewer says it submitted the item to FotoForensics and found that it was edited. The review concludes that the information under investigation was false. This supports rejecting the attributed remark, but the excerpt does not identify a specific tweet containing it or document a search of every possible tweet about Surya and his community.
