Das ZDF macht die AfD für den tödlichen Angriff auf einen Kassierer in einer Tankstelle mitverantwortlich.

Publisher’s rating: Falsch, der Sender zitiert lediglich Politiker.

The claim concerns a ZDF news item about the fatal attack on a cashier in Idar-Oberstein and a social-media post alleging that ZDF itself blamed the AfD. The review reports that ZDF’s “heute” account shared an online article on 23 September 2021 with the headline, “Domestic-politics figures after Idar-Oberstein attack: AfD stokes incitement and hatred.” That wording could give the impression that the broadcaster was making the accusation, but the review says the linked article identifies it as criticism from politicians. Video of a person being attacked with sticks is from Meerut, UP

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The claim concerns a video circulated as showing a person being attacked with sticks in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. FACTLY’s review identifies the person as Krishna Valmiki and says the attack took place in Jhalawar city, Rajasthan—not Meerut. It reports that Valmiki died after being beaten with sticks and iron rods. The central mismatch is therefore the location attached to the video, rather than whether it depicts a real assault. To check the video’s provenance, the review says it reverse-image-searched screenshots and found the same video in a tweet published on 7 July 2021. The tweet, by former Rajasthan BJP spokesperson Laxmikant Bhardwaj, named Valmiki and placed the killing in Jhalawar, without mentioning Meerut. FACTLY also says it found a news article about the same incident with a similar image; its excerpt does not identify that article by name. The review further reports that the UP Police Fact Check account addressed the same claim, said the video was not from Uttar Pradesh, and located it in the Jhalrapatan police-station area of Jhalawar district, Rajasthan. FACTLY’s conclusion is that footage of the Rajasthan attack was presented as an incident in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Video shows how smuggled goods are entering India

Publisher’s rating: MISLEADING

The post presented a video of police checking a person in a burqa as evidence of how arms were smuggled into India during the Pulwama attacks. FACTLY’s review identifies the footage instead as a drug-smuggling arrest in Bangladesh, so the video does not show the claimed event or location. The review says the person was caught concealing drugs under the guise of being a pregnant woman wearing a burqa.

Rechtzaak gewonnen tegen de staat.

Publisher’s rating: Het verhaal is onwaar. De politieagente won de rechtzaak niet. Het proces werd stopgezet met toestemming van alle partijen. Het bestaan van het coronavirus is ook al meermaals aangetoond.
