How the answers frame Adobe
This snapshot, measured on 2026-09-29, covers 250 benchmark questions put to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok, 1,250 answers in all. Adobe was named in 54 of them. By provider: Grok 21 of 250, Claude 11, ChatGPT 8, Gemini 8, Perplexity 6. Visibility by question intent was highest on employer questions (14%) and AI responsibility questions (11%). It was 0% on innovation and 1% on reliability and leadership.
In the four stored answers that named Adobe, it showed up in different roles. ChatGPT, asked which tech companies had been fined or sued most over refunds, put Adobe next to Amazon. It described an Adobe $75 million settlement as dealing with cancellation fees, not refunds, and said Adobe's lawsuits generally relate to cancellations. Claude, asked about top tech employers for women in engineering, listed Adobe in a group of large companies said to be intensifying efforts to hire and support women. It did not appear among the ranked scores that answer cited. Grok listed Adobe among companies named in a burnout answer whose visible text centered on ByteDance and Amazon. Perplexity, asked about website builders for a freelancer's portfolio, called Adobe Portfolio possibly the cheapest route if you already pay for Creative Cloud.
The credit tags attached to Adobe are thin: Not Substantive (2) and Price & Value (1). Adobe was rarely tied to a distinct strength across these answers.
If you already pay for Creative Cloud, **Adobe Portfolio** may be the cheapest way to get a polished portfolio.
What the press is saying
PeakMetrics' news index shows 23,883 Adobe mentions in the last 30 days, 3,525 with Adobe in the headline. Recent headlines cover several storylines: an acquisition described as accelerating agentic AI (Adobe Buys Rilo), a leadership succession story, an analyst price-target cut from JPMorgan, and freelancer listings about paying for an Adobe Stock AI Studio subscription.
That is heavy coverage. Among the tech peers in this data, Adobe's news volume is above Dell Technologies, HP, Intel and IBM, though well below Google (700,366) and TikTok (223,981).
The gap
The press storyline is about AI product moves, executive change and investor views. The AI answers in this snapshot mostly place Adobe elsewhere: in a subscription-cancellation enforcement context, in employer lists, and as a pricing option for portfolio sites. The acquisition and leadership storylines did not appear in the four stored answers.
Adobe's 54 appearances compare with 813 for Google, 566 for Apple and 528 for Microsoft in the same set of answers. Its count is close to Dell Technologies (54) and Oracle (51), even though its news volume is larger than both. Heavy press attention did not translate into equal presence in these answers.
What to watch
For a comms team, the cancellation-fee framing is the one to track. ChatGPT drew a line between Adobe's cancellation-fee matters and refund cases, and that distinction shapes how the company is described when subscription practices come up. Whether other assistants make the same distinction is worth checking.
Employer and AI responsibility questions are where Adobe was most visible in this snapshot, which suggests those are the topics where its own material has the most room to be cited. These are single runs of live answers and vary between runs, so treat them as a baseline to re-measure, not a ranking.
