The @CMofKarnataka traditionally hosts a pre-budget dinner for editors. Fair enough. But this year, when the menu reportedly included Royal Salute 21-Year-Old Blended Scotch Whisky (MRP in Bengaluru: ₹15,670 a bottle), one small question arises: Is this where the budget deficit got its early preview?
