97,945 published reviewsThe video shows Russian President Putin stopping his walk in reverence of the Indian national anthem, as it was played.
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The review finds that the viral video was edited: the original footage shows Putin standing while the USSR national anthem played, not the Indian anthem. It identifies the footage as coming from a United Russia party congress in Moscow in 2011.
The viral video shows the world’s largest Ganapati idol being built in Chennai for Ganesh Chaturthi 2025.
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The review reports that the video is AI-generated, citing a watermark linked to an account that describes itself as specializing in AI-driven content and an AI detector’s result. It also notes that the account uploaded the same video on 23 August 2025 with the caption “Ganesh Chaturthi Special.”
In a viral poston X (archived here), a user wrote that "Kunar province in Afghanistan has been severely impacted by a powerful earthquake, leaving residents injured and devastated." The user posted a picture in support of an appeal: "The community is in urgent need of immediate crisis response and assistance."
Publisher’s rating: DW Fact check: Fake. The scene in the image is cluttered with visual cues meant to foreshadow disaster: demolished houses, people standing outside, a fire burning in the rubble, with the moon partly hidden by clouds over the mountains. This alone is enough to set off alarm bells that the image could be generated with the help of AI. It's as if the picture were crafted with lots of time and attention to detail. How to research whether an image is authentic? A simple search of the image revealed its origin: "Made with Google AI." There are also visible flaws in the image itself: shadows are cast on the same side as the light source, when they should fall in the opposite direction. The people in the image appear to be wearing winter clothes, and they look strikingly calm. When compared with genuine photos from the area, one can see that locals are not dressed in winter clothing.

Misleading
The review says the video was filmed during M. K. Stalin’s visit to the United States in September 2024, not in Germany. It reports that the video has no connection to a visit by Stalin to Germany.
Publisher’s rating: 誤り
A video posted on X on August 29, 2025, appeared to show a tornado catching fire. The review found that its opening image matched a real tornado photographed near Traer, Iowa, and concluded the video was likely made by altering that footage with AI; other videos of the same tornado do not show it igniting.
The viral video shows eggs being thrown at a BJP leader during a program in Bihar.
Publisher’s rating: MISLEADING

The viral posts feature a short video of a large bridge that appears to buckle and collapse during what is described as an earthquake.
