Video shows the interior of Ayodhya mandir.

Publisher’s rating: False

The claim concerns a widely shared interior video presented as showing the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. NewsMeter reports that it checked the video’s keyframes with reverse image search and found links to the same footage. The review says a YouTube upload used the title “President Droupadi Murmu to inaugurate Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sanskriti Kendra at Koradi, Nagpur.” The review also says it found the inaugural ceremony video on the President of India’s YouTube channel. Based on these findings, it identifies the viral interior video as footage of Koradi Mandir in Nagpur, not Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and concludes that the claim is false.

Visuals of a Muslim man snatching a Hindu religious flag from a Youth during a procession

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The claim concerns a video said to show a Muslim man snatching a Hindu religious flag from a youth during a procession in Sanoli Khurd village, Panipat, Haryana. FACTLY identifies the event as a Janmashtami procession in September 2023, and reports that Bajrang Dal members joined the procession in a predominantly Muslim area, waving flags and raising slogans. The review’s account differs from the viral post’s attribution: it says village sarpanch Sanjay Tyagi and temple committee members took flags away to prevent tensions, rather than Muslims snatching one. FACTLY says it searched online for information and found reports from Amar Ujala dated 10 and 12 September 2023. It also reports contacting Sanoli police station SHO Sunil Kumar, who said the person taking the flag was sarpanch Sanjay Tyagi and denied a communal aspect. The review further recounts an interview by Vishwas News with Tyagi, who described the procession, the Bajrang Dal members joining it, and his intervention. Tyagi said the flag was taken from a local village youth and that he had asked the group to stop raising slogans and leave the area. He also said the flag was not disrespected or mishandled. On this evidence, FACTLY concludes that the video does not show Muslims snatching a Hindu religious flag during the procession.
