Image of Goddess Saraswati which is recently vandalized in Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The claim concerned a damaged Saraswati idol shown in a social-media post, said to have been vandalized recently in Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh. FACTLY’s account says the investigation found the damage was accidental and had happened years earlier, rather than recently: police said the college administration damaged the idol while demolishing the building where it stood. The review reports that Guntur police and the Guntur Rural SP both confirmed that the damage was not recent. The review describes several checks. Guntur Rural Police shared a video of the landowner, who said the premises had been leased to Krishnaveni College and that the idol was accidentally damaged during the building demolition. A police press release said the college principal and lecturers admitted the idol had been damaged four years earlier and had remained there since. FACTLY also says it contacted Narasaraopet one town police station, which confirmed the same account. The post therefore misrepresented both the timing and the circumstances: the reported damage was accidental and not recent, contrary to the claim of recent vandalism. The review places the post amid social-media sharing following the burning of the Antarvedi temple chariot, but does not present that event as evidence about how or when this idol was damaged.

ఒసామా బిన్ లాడెన్ కూతురు హిందూ మతాన్ని స్వీకరించి చెప్పింది! ఇస్లాం ప్రపంచంలో అత్యంత పనికిరాని మరియు మురికి మతం

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The viral post discussed in Vishvas News claimed that Osama bin Laden’s daughter had converted to Hinduism and married a Hindu man. The review investigated the version identifying the groom as Bhojpuri actor and singer Pradeep Maurya, and the woman as a daughter named Zoya. It does not provide evidence about the separate alleged statement that Islam is “the most useless and dirty religion,” so that quotation is not established by this report. The article states that a Facebook user shared a newspaper clipping with the claim that “ఒసామా బిన్ లాడెన్ కుమార్తె #హిందూ_ధర్మంలోకి మారిపోయింది. ఆమె ఆర్య సమాజ్‌లో ఒక హిందూ అబ్బాయిని వివాహం చేసుకుంది”. The investigation checked whether the named people and the clipping supported the story. Vishvas News says it found no public-record details about a daughter named Zoya in the material it consulted about the bin Laden family. It also contacted Maurya through details on the YouTube channel it identified as his; according to the report, he said he had married in 2018 and did not know anyone named Zoya. The article describes these steps as part of its investigation, rather than as evidence about the alleged anti-Islam remark. The review also traced the images in the circulated clipping. It reports that a reverse-image search found the woman’s photograph on Urdu Point and identified her as Pakistani actress Saira Yousuf; the man’s photograph appeared on Maurya’s Facebook page and in a Film City Gorakhpur blog post uploaded on 1 March 2014. On that basis, the article says the clipping’s photograph had been edited. Together, the reported identity checks and image tracing undermine the viral story that Maurya married bin Laden’s daughter. The excerpt does not describe a separate verification of the claimed religious insult.
