Claim: Durai murugan not made this comment about Nainar nagendran I நயினார் நாகேந்திரன் பற்றி துரைமுருகன் கூறியதாகப் பரவும் செய்தி உண்மையா?

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The review examined a social-media news card attributed to News 7 Tamil that purported to report mocking remarks by Durai Murugan about Nainar Nagendran and AIADMK members. It says the claim was circulating on social media and that a reader had also sent it to the outlet’s WhatsApp chatbot to ask whether it was true. The review’s finding concerns whether News 7 Tamil published that report, rather than offering a transcript or independent recording of the alleged remarks. To check the card’s attribution, Fact Crescendo says it contacted Sukitha, identified as a manager in News 7 Tamil’s digital division. According to the review, she said the information was false and provided a link to a clarification issued by News 7 Tamil. The excerpt does not reproduce that clarification or describe any separate examination of the alleged remarks. On that basis, the review concludes that the news card circulating in News 7 Tamil’s name was fake. The evidence presented in the excerpt is therefore the outlet representative’s denial and the linked clarification—not direct evidence about what Durai Murugan did or did not say beyond the disputed card’s attribution.

আফিগানিস্তানে তালিবানের সরকার গঠন হয়ে গিয়েছে যার রাষ্ট্রপতি আব্দুল গনি বরাদর।

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The review examined a social-media graphic claiming that Afghanistan’s Taliban government had already been formed and that Abdul Ghani Baradar was its president. It describes the graphic as listing six people and proposed posts, including Baradar as president, Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob as vice-president, and Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada as prime minister. The review says it checked the claim and found it false: “গ্রাফিক্সে মোট ছয় জনের ছবি দেওয়া রয়েছে সবার নামের নিচে একটি করে মন্ত্রিত্ব পদের নাম দেওয়া আছে।” To assess whether a government had been announced, the review cites reporting from Reuters and Al Jazeera. It says Reuters reported uncertainty on 29 August about when a government would be formed, and that Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said on 28 August it would be formed within one or two weeks. It also says Al Jazeera reported on 31 August that senior Taliban figure Anas Haqqani expected formation within days, while saying it was not yet time to determine who would be in the cabinet: “কে কে থাকবেন মন্ত্রীসভায় এই বিষয়ে তিনি বলছেনে, এখনও তা নির্ধারণ করার সময় আসেনি।” The review distinguishes speculation about Baradar’s possible leadership from an official announcement. It says some media reports placed him at the top of the prospective government, but that the Taliban had made no official announcement. Its conclusion is that, at the time addressed by the review, the claimed government and cabinet had not yet been formed: “যদিও, এখনও পর্যন্ত তালিবানের তরফে কোনরকম সরকারি ঘোষণা করা হয়নি।”
