The claim attributes two statements to Swiss police: that they reject the “Great Reset” and that they work for the people rather than an elite. The review investigates the source of those statements: a letter from the association “Wir für Euch,” which was presented as representing police officers across Switzerland. The review says a blog post quoted the group as saying, “We work for the people, not the elite,” and also claimed that Swiss police rejected the “Great Reset.” The decisive check was whether those claims appear in the letter itself. The review describes the letter as having been sent in February 2021 to the Swiss Association of Police Officers. It says the letter called for a clear rejection of mandatory vaccination for officers and asked the association to seek answers from the Federal Council. While the letter discusses police protecting the population and officers’ concerns about the proportionality of Covid measures, the review reports that it contains no reference to an elite or the “Great Reset.” The claim also overstates who the letter represents. The review says the letter does not assert that the whole of Swiss police shares the group’s views. It reports that neither the police officers’ association nor the conference of cantonal police commanders had information about “Wir für Euch.” The evidence therefore distinguishes a letter from an association of uncertain reach from the position of Swiss police as a whole.

UK’s leading magazine ‘British Herald’ had recently recognised PM Narendra Modi as the “World’s Most Powerful Person” in the context of COVID-19
Publisher’s rating: MISLEADING
The post presented a British Herald magazine cover featuring Narendra Modi as recent recognition of him as the “World’s Most Powerful Person,” supposedly for his leadership during COVID-19 and India’s vaccine production. The review checked the image’s history and the timing of the magazine cover, rather than treating the post’s description of the cover as evidence of when or why it was published. It reports that the cover came from a 2019 readers’ poll, before COVID-19 in India. The review says a reverse-image search found a similar image in a Republic TV tweet dated 21 June 2019. It also identifies a British Herald article published on 16 June 2019 describing the poll: more than 25 world leaders were nominated, four reached the final poll, and Modi reportedly won with 30.9% of the votes. The magazine cover was published on 15 July 2019, according to the review. That chronology contradicts the post’s presentation of the cover as a recent, COVID-19-era recognition. The review further notes that the poll was a readers’ poll and says it found no reporting by a reputed international news organisation on the result. Its conclusion is about the misleading use of an old cover to imply a pandemic-era accolade; the excerpt does not establish that the poll was an authoritative global ranking.

The review examined a Facebook photo posted on September 13, 2021, that depicted Cambodian opposition leader Sam Rainsy with an unusually old-looking face. The post also included a mocking caption about his political activities. The review’s question was whether the appearance in that particular photo reflected the original image or had been changed. [S1: “On September 13, 2021, one of the Facebook users recently posted a photo that shows the former president of the Cambodian National Rescue Party, Mr. Sam Rainsy, with an old face.”] [S1: “A screenshot captured from the above user’s post that translates in English as ‘Want to laugh at Sam Rainsy’s side choosing to have a secret meeting on Zoom.”] Fact Crescendo reports that it used Google Reverse Image search to locate related images, then compared the disputed picture with an image from Sam Rainsy’s official Facebook page. The review identifies that page’s September 12, 2021 album as containing an exact photo of him sitting on a truck. [S1: “Fact Crescendo Cambodia had started to check and verify this photo directly by running a Google Reverse Image search”] [S1: “shared an album on September 12, 2021, which includes an exact photo showing him sitting on the truck.”] According to the review, the original image did not show the aged appearance seen in the Facebook post, and the disputed version had been edited. It identifies the original photo as showing Rainsy at a meeting with supporters in Seattle, Washington, and concludes that the aged-looking image was altered. [S1: “This original photo does not show he is getting old nor looking old as posted by the Facebook user above”] [S1: “This photo was factually found in Sam Rainsy’s official facebook page when he visited his supporters in the US on 12th September, 2021 and he is not looking old unlike the photo altered above.”]
