It also identifies the accompanying photograph as taken at a union meeting in Anuradhapura on July 22, before the incident. For the Rome-meeting claim, it reports that the JVP’s Italy committee attributed Lalkantha’s absence to sudden illness and medical advice, and that both Lalkantha and Rathnayake confirmed this explanation to the fact-checkers. For the alleged Harini Amarasuriya remark, it says she denied making it and that Loku Talks administrators said the page had not published the post.
