Ele afirma que a Justiça passará a exigir a função social das propriedades rurais e que, “é algo que não há definição”. “É pela compreensão e entendimento deles que vai determinar se a sua propriedade pode ser desapropriada ou não. Preste bastante atenção. Se você mora numa chácara, se você tem uma casa e o STF decidir que a sua casa, a sua chácara não cumpre função social, o governo agora, o Estado brasileiro poderá tomar de você essa propriedade”, afirmou.

The claim concerns a video in which a woman identifying herself as the president of an animal-protection NGO said she could not collect flood-relief donations in Lajeado, Rio Grande do Sul, because supplies were being held for President Lula’s arrival. The review reports that Lajeado’s municipal government, the state Civil Defense and the federal government denied the allegation; the city said deliveries had not been suspended. The state Civil Defense also explained that its donation bases in Lajeado did not distribute supplies directly to volunteers or flood victims: supplies went to municipal governments, which then distributed them. The investigation tested the video’s account against people and organizations connected to the events. Volunteers who worked at the distribution centers on the day the video was recorded did not corroborate the woman’s account. A local news outlet, Grupo A Hora, said it had received no similar complaint. The review also reports that Alckmin’s office said he had not visited any donation-distribution point during his time in Rio Grande do Sul, but instead visited other locations. The account was further qualified by the woman’s organization, UPA (Unidos Pelos Animais). It said the video expressed only the former president’s opinion, and that no other volunteers were present in Lajeado on the recording day or had a chance to discuss the video before it was posted. Taken together, the review’s reported denials, distribution procedures and lack of corroboration from volunteers undermine the video’s claim that donations were withheld for a presidential visit.
