Claim: uttar pradesh bjp video shared as madhya pradesh congress leaders attacking each other

Publisher’s rating: ஃபேக்ட் கிரஸண்டோ ரேட்டிங்: FALSE

The claim concerns a video shared as showing Madhya Pradesh Congress members fighting after the party released its first candidate list on October 15. Fact Crescendo’s investigation says the video was not from that event: it identifies the footage as an older recording of a fight involving BJP representatives in Uttar Pradesh. Its account says TV9 Bharatvarsh had posted the same video on March 6, 2019, describing the people shown as BJP MPs and MLAs fighting in front of a district magistrate and a state minister. The review also says reporting about the incident located it in Sant Kabir district, Uttar Pradesh, in 2019. This evidence contradicts the claim’s identification of the people and place.

Publicações afirmam que Lula doou R$ 25 milhões ao Hamas por meio de um decreto em 2010.

Publisher’s rating: Falso

The claim concerns a 2010 law signed by President Lula that authorized R$ 25 million for Gaza. The review says the law designated the Palestinian National Authority (ANP) as the recipient, not Hamas. It identifies the ANP as an institution led by Fatah and says the posts misleadingly treat the ANP and Hamas as if they were the same organization. The stated purpose of the money was to help rebuild Gaza after the conflict between Israel and Hamas in late 2008 and early 2009. The review places the funding in a humanitarian context: the UN appealed for international resources for people affected by the conflict and estimated that US$613 million was needed for urgent food, water, shelter, medical care and education. These details describe the stated purpose and setting of the aid; they do not indicate that Hamas received it. The review also reports that the federal government issued a statement denying that the funding went to Hamas. It says a person responsible for one of the posts continued to assert, without evidence, that the money was donated to Hamas and that Palestine was controlled by the group. The decisive distinction in the review is therefore between the ANP, named as the recipient in the law, and Hamas, which the posts claimed received the money.
