This places the image in the context of flood-relief distribution in Thailand, rather than establishing that it depicts a seizure in Tamil Nadu. The review also notes that similar claims had circulated during the Bihar election and that the named candidates had filed nominations in the forthcoming Tamil Nadu election. Those election-related details do not substantiate the alleged seizure; the review’s image-search findings identify the photograph as old Thai relief material. Its conclusion is that the image was recirculated with a false claim about the Tamil Nadu election.

In Haarlemmermeer heeft verkiezingsfraude plaatsgevonden.

Publisher’s rating: Het bericht klopt niet. Hoewel Willem-Jan Pelle de tweet echt heeft geplaatst, heeft hij geen stemmen geteld in de gemeente Haarlemmermeer. Pelle geeft zelf aan dat het om een sarcastische opmerking gaat en dat hij geen stemmen heeft geteld tijdens de Tweede Kamerverkiezingen

The claim concerned alleged fraud in Haarlemmermeer during the Dutch parliamentary election, and centred on a tweet by Willem-Jan Pelle. The tweet said he was working at a polling station and would make votes for Forum for Democracy (FvD) and the Party for Freedom (PVV) disappear. The review reports that the tweet was genuine, but says Pelle did not count votes in Haarlemmermeer and had no polling-station role during the election. To establish the tweet’s context, the review says its reporters contacted Pelle by phone. He described the post as sarcastic and said he regretted sending it given the commotion it caused. Er is fraude gepleegd bij de Tweede Kamerverkiezingen.

Publisher’s rating: Er is, 24 uur na het sluiten van de stembussen, geen bewijs te vinden dat de bewering over verkiezingsfraude bij de Tweede Kamerverkiezingen ondersteunt. Ook de internationale waarnemers van de Organisatie voor Veiligheid en Samenwerking in Europa (OVSE), die het verloop van de verkiezingen observeerden, hebben tot dit moment geen indicatie van fraude waargenomen. Engel levert zelf ook geen bewijs voor zijn claim. Uiteindelijk is te concluderen dat de bewering onjuist is.

Gemeente Zwijndrecht schendt vrijheid van meningsuiting door verwijderen FvD-campagneborden.

Publisher’s rating: De gemeente Zwijndrecht geeft inderdaad aan dat zij meerdere verkiezingsborden hebben weggehaald. Volgens de gemeente ging het hier echter om 'illegale verkiezingsborden', die op plekken hingen waar ze niet waren toegestaan. Gemeenten mogen in zo’n geval de borden verwijderen. De posts op sociale media waarin wordt beweerd dat de gemeente de vrijheid van meningsuiting boycot of fraude pleegt, missen daarmee essentiële context.
