The claim concerns an online offer presented under the Schogetten chocolate brand that asks users to choose a gift package and then directs them to a page requesting personal information. The investigation describes the offer as appearing to come from Schogetten, but says the destination page was operated by a different company. The publisher reports that it contacted Ludwig Schokolade, the company behind Schogetten, about the promotion.

Publisher’s rating:

The post linked two different things: a Japanese television feature describing a three-day, two-night Taiwan trip for ¥20,000, and allegations that Taiwan’s government paid for Japanese visitors or subsidized foreign tour groups. The investigation traced the post to a May 23, 2017 Facebook post by former legislator Tsai Cheng-yuan, then identified the likely program as a May 17, 2017 Tokyo TV broadcast about a Taiwan trip presented by Japanese entertainer Yinling. The review says that trip was her individual, independent travel—not a government-subsidized tour. The post’s ¥20,000 figure therefore did not establish that the government had paid for the featured trip. The review separately checked the claim that the government offered NT$10,000 per person for three-day, two-night foreign visits. It consulted a Tourism Bureau official and examined the bureau’s incentive-tour rules. Those rules applied to pre-approved corporate employee incentive groups, not all foreign visitors; the cited grants were capped amounts per group, varying by group size. The review also reports that the eligible spending was restricted to specified hosting, cultural, accommodation, food, and related tour costs. It also addressed the post’s separate account of a subsidized Korean golf tour and its assertion that tourism grants came from pension-reform savings and taxpayers’ money. The review says the bureau reported no subsidy scheme for Korean golf tours. It examined tourism-fund budget information and a pension-fund committee announcement: the review reports no extra government budget for the tourism development fund in the two years discussed, while savings from pension reform were directed into the retirement and relief fund. Those findings do not support the post’s claim that the featured Japanese trip or the alleged golf tour was funded in the way described. )

Publisher’s rating: Falso

The claim repeats a hiring message that circulated in 2019: Bauducco supposedly had several vacancies, salaries of R$1,500–R$2,500, and immediate openings, with applicants directed to a website. The review examines that same message and describes its application process: visitors answered generic questions and had to share a link with friends before they could supposedly send a résumé. The review says that, in the version it checked, the link led to a shortened address associated with Magincibio.com. The review identifies the required sharing step and the lack of a result as features of a familiar fake-job-message pattern. It also reports that the site had been denounced as phishing and had been used in publications invoking other companies, including Nubank. These details concern the link and the site’s reported behavior; the excerpt does not provide a technical analysis of the site or identify who operated it. No final, nada acontece.”] As a separate check, the review says it searched Bauducco for the advertised vacancies. It found job advertisements but none connected to the circulating message. On the basis of that search and the described sharing-based process, it concludes that the promise of Bauducco jobs through the link was false. The excerpt does not establish that Bauducco had no vacancies at all; it distinguishes other advertisements from the specific WhatsApp offer.

The review examines photos used to illustrate online articles about Marinaleda, a small Andalusian community between Malaga and Cordoba. It finds that the claim applies to some articles, not all: the review notes that reports in Die Zeit and Spiegel Online used photos actually taken in Marinaleda, while other media illustrated their articles with views of different places. The claim’s broad wording therefore needs that qualification. The review identifies several mismatches by comparing what the images depict with the locations described. A photo of white houses beside a beach and a marina cannot show Marinaleda, which has no coast; the review traces it to Mykonos, Greece. Another image shows a hilltop old town with a church tower and castle, features inconsistent with Marinaleda’s flat terrain and lack of a castle; the review identifies the location as Casares. A further image presents wooded mountain slopes, whereas the review says the area around Marinaleda is predominantly olive plantations and identifies the pictured place as Valldemossa, Mallorca. The review also identifies an image of Olvera used with articles about Marinaleda. Its evidence thus supports that multiple articles used views of other places, while also documenting examples of correctly illustrated coverage. It does not establish that every article about Marinaleda used a mismatched photo.
