Vídeo no TikTok mostra o cantor Gusttavo Lima em show enquanto plateia grita “Ei, Bolsonaro, vai tomar no c*”.

Publisher’s rating: Falso

The investigation examined a TikTok post using footage of Gusttavo Lima and suggesting that the crowd chanted an insult at Jair Bolsonaro. It found that the images were real but the sound had been altered: the crowd was applauding Lima, not chanting against Bolsonaro. The post also asserted that three of Lima’s shows in Bahia had been canceled and connected that claim to his support for Bolsonaro. To identify the footage, the reporters compared the TikTok clip with other recordings of Lima’s performance and a post from the official Buteco Festival account. They identified the event as a show in Aracaju on May 28, 2022: Lima wore the same blue jacket and made the same gestures, and the Aracaju location also appeared on an earlier YouTube video. In the recordings published before the TikTok post, the audience applauds and Lima thanks them. The investigation also checked the cancellation claim with the singer’s press team. The team said no shows had been canceled in any state after Lima announced support for Bolsonaro, contradicting the post’s assertion about three Bahia shows.

The claim concerns an image circulating on Facebook that appears to show a Titanic magazine cover about Ukraine. The image depicts a face with money and military equipment flying into its mouth and carries the Ukrainian-coloured headline “Ewiger Appetit.” The review identifies the image as manipulated, rather than a genuine cover. (S1) To check it, the review identifies the actual October issue and describes what appears on its cover: a destroyed city, with headlines about colonial crimes and King Charles III. It also says the original issue was available in Titanic’s online shop and contrasts that cover with the image circulating on Facebook. This comparison supports the conclusion that the Facebook image is not the genuine cover. The review states that the October issue appeared on 30 September 2022.

Cartoon Network TV channel is being shut down after 30 years and will be merged with Warner Bros.

Publisher’s rating: MISLEADING

The claim concerns Cartoon Network’s television channel: it says the channel would shut down after 30 years and be merged with Warner Bros. to create digital content. FACTLY’s review examined news of a merger between Cartoon Network Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, and explained that these are the studios—not the TV channel—being discussed. It reported that the studios would consolidate their animation division, while retaining their separate labels. The review also points to Cartoon Network’s response to posts interpreting the studios’ merger as the channel’s demise. On October 14, 2022, the channel’s official Twitter account said it was “not going anywhere” and would share more details soon. FACTLY further notes that the channel said it would remain a home for cartoons. This response directly addresses the shutdown claim, although the excerpt does not provide additional operational details about the channel. Together, the reported distinction between the studios and the channel, the studios’ continued labels, and Cartoon Network’s public statement counter the claim that the TV channel was being shut down as part of the merger. The review describes the merger as a studio consolidation, not a closure of the television channel.

The Cartoon Network will be shut down !!

Publisher’s rating: Misleading

The review examines viral social-media posts saying Cartoon Network was shutting down after 30 years. It distinguishes the television channel from Cartoon Network Studios (CNS), the production studio involved in a Warner Bros. Discovery restructuring. The review says the posts were misleading because the studio changes did not mean the channel was ending: “the two brands WBA and CNS, which are already under Warner Bros. Discovery’s main company will be merged and will come under one division, but both companies will work distinctively.” To check the shutdown claim, the article says it looked at Cartoon Network’s official social-media accounts. It reports that a post dated October 15 rejected the rumor, saying, “We’re not going anywhere,” and that Cartoon Network would remain “your home for beloved, innovative cartoons.” The review also quotes a network representative’s statement to Fox5: “Speculation that Cartoon Network is going away is categorically false.” The representative said CNS had moved under Warner Bros. Television’s leadership and that it would continue creating content for the network. The review identifies the source of confusion as a “strategic realignment” involving CNS and Warner Bros. Animation. It says their development and production teams would be brought under one division, while their labels remained distinct. It also notes layoffs and 125 eliminated jobs, including vacant positions, as context for speculation—but presents those changes as affecting the production organization, not ending Cartoon Network as a channel. The article’s conclusion is that the channel would continue, while the studios’ teams were being reorganized.

Video shows Mahatama Gandhi and Savarkar’s conversation scene from 1982 ‘Gandhi’ movie.

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The claim concerns a video presented as a scene from Richard Attenborough’s 1982 film Gandhi, showing Mahatma Gandhi and Vinayak Damodar (Veer) Savarkar in conversation. The review says the post also used the scene to suggest Savarkar was challenging Gandhi over caste, religious conversions and non-violence. Its conclusion is that the clip is from a different film, not the 1982 Gandhi.

Publisher’s rating: De foto is gefotoshopt.

The image circulated as an “old archive photo” supposedly showing Sylvana Simons dressed as Zwarte Piet. The review says this was a manipulated image, not a genuine photograph of Simons in that costume. It reports that Simons, a longstanding opponent of Zwarte Piet, had already rejected the claim in 2017, saying she had never played Zwarte Piet. The review also notes that the image had continued to circulate on social media over several years. [S1]
