Publisher’s rating: 誤り
The review finds the claim false: the circulating video used BBC branding but was fabricated. Bellingcat, BBC Verify, and the professor featured in the video denied the claims attributed to them.

Visuals of Palestinian soldiers parading and displaying their artillery during the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The claim concerns video footage said to show Palestinian soldiers parading and displaying artillery during the Israel-Palestine conflict. FACTLY’s review examined that footage and identified the force shown as Mexico’s army, not Palestinian forces or Hamas. Its account says a vehicle in the video displays the words “Reserva Estrategica Santa Lucia,” which led the investigators to research the military unit associated with that name. The review describes the Santa Lucía Strategic Reserve as a Mexican military unit established to defend the country’s central region. To check the footage’s origin, the investigators searched using specific keywords and found a news report showing a Mexican army parade on Mexico’s Independence Day, celebrated on 16 September 2023. They compared the parade visuals with the viral video and reported that the artillery matched. Their account therefore places the footage at a Mexican national-day parade, rather than at an event involving Palestinian soldiers in the ongoing conflict. The review also says it found no reports that Mexico had provided military support to Palestine or Hamas. It notes that the Mexican government had instead issued a statement condemning attacks against civilians, while recognizing Israel’s right to self-defense subject to international law. That diplomatic context is separate from the visual identification: the review’s central evidence for the video’s provenance is the vehicle marking and the comparison with parade footage.

Emir of Qatar called Indian Muslims converted and that they should refrain from involving in Gaza issue. He announced that Qatar would stop supplying gas if bombing Gaza is not stopped
Publisher’s rating: MISLEADING
The claims concern a video shared during the Israel–Palestine conflict. Posts attributed two statements to Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani: that Indian Muslims should not get involved in Gaza-related Arab issues, and that Qatar would stop supplying gas if the bombing continued. FACTLY’s review traced the clip to the emir’s opening speech at the Doha Forum in 2017, rather than to a recent statement about the conflict. [S1]

Publisher’s rating: Falso
The claim concerns a particular video circulated with a caption saying Israeli soldiers had begun hunting Hamas members after the October 7, 2023 attacks. The Detector says the clip does not show that: the footage predates the war and the soldiers are from Iraqi Kurdistan. Its conclusion identifies the video as showing Kurdish forces, not Israeli troops pursuing a Hamas member. The review describes a reverse-image search in Yandex using a frame from the circulated clip. That search found a longer, higher-quality version of the same recording, uploaded to YouTube in January 2017. In the longer footage, the reviewers could see a Kurdish flag on soldiers’ uniforms; they also examined comments referring to Iraqi peshmerga and used the UN refugee agency’s explanation of that term. The review says searches for the flag and a red shoulder insignia further identified the soldiers as members of Kurdish forces. This provenance and uniform evidence contradict the caption’s implication that the video records events following October 7, 2023: the longer version was online years earlier, and the visible insignia point to a different military force. The review describes the footage as at least seven years old and identifies the soldiers as a Kurdish unit operating in Iraqi Kurdistan.

The claim concerns a circulating video said to show Hamas parachutists landing in Israel to kill civilians. The investigation distinguishes the fact that Hamas fighters were parachuted across the border during the October 7, 2023 attack from the origin of this particular footage: it reports that the video was filmed in Egypt, not at the attack. The review describes the clip as showing parachutists descending into a town and landing near a football field. »] To locate the footage, the investigators identified the TikTok account that had shared it and found a second video on the account, labelled “Partie 2,” showing the parachutists landing. They compared the scenery and lighting between the clips and used details visible in the footage—the sports club named in the account’s hashtags, the training field and its turquoise barriers, nearby chairs, and a building across the street—to place the scene at Cairo’s Al-Nasr sports club. »; « Dans les hashtags, l'utilisateur mentionne le club de sport Al-Nasr du Caire »] The review also reports that an identical version was on YouTube on September 30, 2023, before the October 7 attack. It says the TikTok user reposted the original clip on October 12 while clarifying that it did not show Hamas. As a further observation about the scene, the review notes that people filmed the landing and children ran toward the field, rather than the crowd panicking. Taken together, the location clues and pre-attack upload support the conclusion that the footage was misrepresented as showing the Hamas attack.

Visuals of Palestinian women fleeing Northern Gaza by holding Indian flags in order to escape from Israel attack
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The claim concerns a video said to show Palestinian women fleeing Northern Gaza while carrying Indian flags to avoid Israeli attacks. The review says the footage depicts Muslim women walking with Indian flags, but identifies them as Indian pilgrims travelling to Karbala, Iraq, for the 2023 Arbaeen Walk—not Palestinians escaping Gaza. The investigation describes a reverse image search that found the same footage posted on YouTube and Instagram during the first week of September 2023. That was about a month before the Israel-Hamas conflict in October 2023. The descriptions accompanying those earlier posts suggested the scenes were from the Arbaeen Walk. The review places the footage in the pilgrimage that took place on 06 September 2023. It also reports finding other visuals of Indian pilgrims carrying Indian flags during the event. Together, the earlier posting and the pilgrimage context contradict the claim that this video shows women fleeing Northern Gaza during the later conflict.
