Recent video showing the last moments of a Hezbollah militant who was killed by the Israeli army.

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

FACTLY examined a video being circulated as recent footage of a Hezbollah militant’s final moments before Israeli forces killed him. The review places the post in the setting of Hezbollah and Israeli forces exchanging fire amid the Israel-Palestine conflict, but concludes that the video predates that conflict and depicts a different event in northern Syria. To check the footage, the review says it reverse-image-searched screenshots from the video. It found the same video in social-media posts dating back to at least 2014, and located a screen grab in a news-site article dated 10 December 2014. That article described Shiite militants coming under rocket fire in Syria while threatening insurgents fighting Assad’s forces. The review also recounts a journalist’s response to a later post that presented the footage as showing Israeli forces hunting rival soldiers. The journalist identified the fighters as Iraqi, Iran-backed militias who fought for Assad and said they were being shelled by the Free Syrian Army. Taken together, the reported older online appearances and the Syria-specific identification contradict the video’s presentation as recent footage of a Hezbollah militant killed by Israel.

Israeli Soldiers Harassing 3-Year-Old Palestinian Kid !!(Video)

Publisher’s rating: Missing Context

The review examined a circulating video captioned as showing Israeli forces arresting a three-year-old Palestinian child. It says the incident shown is real, but the video was presented without its time context: the incident occurred in 2018, rather than during the Israel-Hamas conflict that was dominating headlines when the video circulated. The review therefore distinguishes the authenticity of the footage from the implication that it showed a recent event. [S1]

The claim concerned videos circulated during the Israel–Hamas conflict in 2023, said to show combat drones on a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean. The review says the footage was being used to suggest that the United States was becoming involved in the conflict, and identifies the central question as whether the videos showed what users claimed. Its conclusion is that the clips were not contemporary evidence of U.S. activity in that conflict. The review describes using reverse image search to trace the footage to U.S. Navy YouTube videos. It says those source videos were ten years old and showed early tests of X-47B unmanned aircraft on carriers; the oldest dated from November 2012 and the newest from April 2015. This provenance places the footage years before the conflict and identifies it as test material rather than evidence of drones being loaded for the 2023 deployment. The review also contradicts the claimed setting: it locates the footage near Norfolk, in the Atlantic, and above the Patuxent River, rather than near the Middle East. It identifies the carriers shown as the USS Harry S. Truman and USS George H.W. Bush, whereas it says the USS Gerald R. Ford was in the eastern Mediterranean and the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower was en route. These distinctions undermine both the claimed location and the implied link to the ships then associated with the conflict.

1. After celebrating the fall of rockets on Israel, activist Saleh Al-Jaafari is injured and pretends to be a victim of Israeli airstrikes. 2. Women from Gaza are demonstrating that they’re victims of the Israeli war on Gaza.

Publisher’s rating: 1. The first video is attributed to the injured individual, Muhammad Youssef Zindeek/Jaber, who was wounded in the Nour Shams refugee camp inside Tulkarm, northwestern West Bank, and not to the activist Saleh Al-Ja’farawi from Gaza. This video was documented two months before the war on Gaza. 2. The second video features the mothers of the martyrs Alaa Al-Faleh and Mohammed Hashash, marking the fortieth day since their passing in the Balata refugee camp east of Nablus city. It was documented ten days before the war on Gaza and is unrelated to the woman mourning the loss of her daughter.
