How the answers frame Revolut
This snapshot covers 250 benchmark questions that never named a brand, asked of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok on 2026-09-29. That is 1,250 answers. Revolut was named in 205 of them. Grok accounted for 83 of those mentions, ChatGPT 37, Gemini 34, Claude 28 and Perplexity 23.
Visibility varied by question intent. It was highest on employer questions (32%), then innovation and leadership (29% each), service (24%) and safety (21%). It was lowest on avoid (5%), account protection (6%), value (6%) and trust (8%). In these answers Revolut was a name attached to who is worth working for, who builds well and who travels well. It was rarely the name attached to who to trust or who to steer clear of.
The workplace answers were mixed. Gemini called Revolut a "high-performance" environment and said reviews "tend to be highly polarized". Claude's answer on fintech employers grouped Revolut with Nubank and Monzo as offering "consumer growth plus real banking constraints". Grok's answer on app interfaces put Revolut first among the digital banks it said were frequently praised. Grok's answers on stolen-card response and debit cards abroad also listed Revolut among the leading names.
Gemini's profitability answer described Revolut as having "reached full-year profitability". Gemini's leadership answer credited CEO Nikolay Storonsky's derivatives-trading background as a factor in scaling. Perplexity, asked about the worst mobile banking data breaches, named Revolut with a 2022 incident and noted it was reported as an exposure of data on more than 50,000 users.
Often described as a "high-performance" environment.
What the press is saying
PeakMetrics' news index shows 4,397 mentions of Revolut in the last 30 days, 1,533 of them with the brand in the headline. Recent headlines fall into three storylines. The first is a security incident: hackers publishing client files and demanding 10,000 Bitcoin, and identity data and documents sent to hackers posing as a government agency. The second is capital markets: Revolut eyeing stock market listings in London and New York. The third is product: an AI assistant launch at Revolut Bank, and a Passkey-authenticated agentic purchase on a Revolut card.
Among the 15 fintech peers in this dataset, Revolut's news volume is mid-range. Coinbase has far more coverage (28,217 mentions) but appeared in only 75 answers. PayPal and Block lead on answer appearances.
Revolut, Monzo, N26, and Nubank stand out as digital banks (neobanks) frequently praised for the most modern, intuitive, and innovative mobile app interfaces…
The gap
The main storyline in the press does not match the one in the answers. The headlines are about a current data-exposure story and a possible listing. The answers mostly discuss culture, app design, travel-card reliability and profitability. The breach appeared only when a question asked about breaches, and the only Revolut incident in the sampled Perplexity answer was from 2022.
Coverage volume and answer visibility also diverge. Revolut's news count is higher than that of Chime, Zelle, SoFi and Wise, yet Chime and Zelle appeared in more answers, while SoFi and Wise appeared in fewer. Press attention did not translate into a matching share of answers here.
Of the credit categories recorded for Revolut, most were tagged Not Substantive (5). Financial Performance had 2, and Labour & Workplace, Safety & Compliance, Customer Experience and Reliability & Operations had 1 each.
…the incident was reported as a data exposure, not necessarily a breach of the app itself.
What to watch
This is one snapshot, and live answers vary between runs, so treat the figures as a starting point. The findings a comms team can act on: employer and app-design questions are where Revolut shows up most, Grok carries a large share of that visibility, and trust, account-protection and avoid questions currently return little.
Two things are worth tracking in later benchmark runs. One is whether the breach headlines begin to appear in answers to safety, trust and account-protection questions, where Revolut's visibility is low. The other is whether the listing and AI assistant stories show up in answers on leadership and innovation. Cited domains and the wording of the breach answers deserve a closer look than this sample allowed.
