How the answers frame Fox Corporation
This snapshot covers 250 benchmark questions across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok, measured on 2026-09-29. None of the questions named a brand. Fox Corporation was named in 77 of the 1,250 answers. Grok accounted for 30 of those appearances. Perplexity had 16, ChatGPT 12, Gemini 11 and Claude 8.
Visibility followed the question topic. By intent, Fox appeared most on leadership (18%), content catalog (17%) and consolidation impact (16%), then trust (12%). It did not appear in questions about reliability, service, safety, or coverage and network quality. The answers credited it for little: the tagged themes were "Not Substantive" and "Financial Performance".
In the sampled answers, Fox is one name in a list. Gemini put it beside Disney, NBCUniversal, CBS and Amazon in a sports-rights answer, calling Fox and CBS "cornerstones of the NFL’s national broadcast strategy". Perplexity listed it among the companies that followed Disney, Comcast and Charter in a 2023 market-value grouping. Grok named it among streaming-transition leaders, citing Tubi and Fox One. In a mergers answer, Grok also named it as an acquirer and described a roughly $22 billion Roku deal.
One sampled Claude answer used a different frame. Asked which media companies have the worst reputation, it named Fox alongside Comcast and cited a 2026 Axios Harris Poll ranking. That is the assistant's attribution to a survey, not a PeakMetrics finding.
Media giants like Fox and Comcast have received less favorable ratings from respondents, along with social media companies TikTok, X Corp., and Meta…
What the press is saying
PeakMetrics' news index logged 24,966 mentions of Fox Corporation over the last 30 days. 6,536 of them had the brand in the headline. The recent headlines centered on Maria Bartiromo's exit from Fox News and reports of her next move. Another covered a Fox News power-rankings feature on Democrats.
Some of the volume is name noise. One recent headline was a law-firm notice from Kaplan Fox about a Hertz investor matter, which has nothing to do with the company.
Pursuing distribution scale with its ~$22 billion acquisition of Roku (announced June 2026, expected close in 2027).
The gap
The press story is personality-driven and political. The assistants' story is structural: rights deals, streaming products, market value and acquisitions. The Bartiromo storyline does not appear in the sampled answers.
Press volume and AI visibility do not move together here. Fox has a large news footprint but appeared in a small share of answers. It was absent from every question about reliability, service and safety. Where Fox did appear, the assistants gave it little distinct credit, and the credited themes were thin.
What to watch
A comms team should read this as a single snapshot, not a ranking. Live answers vary between runs. Three points stand out. First, the Roku acquisition appears in Grok's mergers answer with specific figures and dates, so check those claims against the record. Second, Grok drives a large share of Fox's appearances, so the picture depends heavily on one assistant. Third, Claude's reputation answer shows the topic can surface when a question asks about reputation directly.
The next step is to track which cited domains the assistants draw on for Fox across repeated runs. That shows whether the deal and streaming framing holds and whether the news-cycle themes ever enter the answers.
