Corporate intelligence

Corporate intelligence is the collection and analysis of information about the environment an organization operates in, including competitors, markets, regulators, stakeholders and emerging risks, to support decisions.

Definition in brief

Teams gather information from public and licensed sources, then analyze it to answer a decision-maker's question: who is acting against us, what is changing in our market, and what should we do about it. The output is an assessment, not a data feed. Related disciplines include OSINT, threat intelligence and media monitoring, which supply part of the raw material.
