Behauptung: Eine Frau behauptet in einem TikTok-Video,das bereits über 800.000-mal angeschaut wurde: "Sie schmeißen die Abgeschobenen aus den Flugzeugen und ins Meer." Leute hätten Flugrouten verfolgt und gesehen, dass die Flugzeuge Kurs aufs offene Meer genommen und dann zurückgeflogen seien. "Eine Familie in Italien hat die Körper von fünf gefesselten Menschen gesehen, die ans Ufer gespült wurden." Diese Behauptungen wurden in den letzten Tagen vielfach in den Sozialen Medien geteilt.
Publisher’s rating: DW Faktencheck: Unbelegt Zwar stimmt es, dass ICEMenschen in Abschiebeflugzeugen fesselt - allerdings gibt es bislang keinerlei Beweise dafür, dass Menschen aus Flugzeugen geworfen wurden. Zwar ist es möglich, Flugverkehr über Dienste wie Flightradarzu verfolgen, jedoch gibt es keine öffentlich verfügbare App, die Abschiebeflüge in Echtzeit anzeigt. Die Nichtregierungsorganisation Witness at the Borderbeobachtet die US-Politik an den Grenzen genau und hat US-Abschiebeflüge seit der COVID-Pandemie mithilfe von öffentlich zugänglichen Online-Datenbanken verfolgt. Aktivist Tom Cartwright dokumentiert regelmäßig, wo und wie oft Abschiebeflüge stattfinden. Diese Informationen gelten als wertvolle Quellen für große Nachrichtenportale,da die US-Einwanderungsbehörde selbst solche Daten nicht regelmäßig herausgibt. Für manche gilt Cartwright als die Anlaufstelle für ICE-Flüge,andere haben ihn als "führenden Experten"bezeichnet. Auf die Frage der DW, ob Flugverfolgungsdaten genutzt werden könnten, um die Behauptung zu untermauern, Abgeschobene würden aus ICE-Flügen ins Meer geworfen, erwidert Cartwright: "Diese Videos haben keinerlei Substanz. Ich habe über 40.000 ICE-Flüge über einen Zeitraum von fünfeinhalb Jahren verfolgt und dabei niemals etwas gesehen, dass auch nur ansatzweise solch unechte Behauptungen bestärkt." Auch konnten wir keine aktuellen Nachrichtenberichte über gefesselte Leichen finden, die in Italien ans Ufer gespült wurden.
