The claim
While our Hon PM Thiru @narendramodi aims to propel the country forward in the 5th gear towards the goals of Viksit Bharat, the DMK Govt in Tamil Nadu appears to be driving the state backward. Our Honorable Railway Minister Thiru @AshwiniVaishnaw clarified to the media yesterday that the new railway line project between Madurai and Tuticorin, via Aruppukkottai, has been scrapped due to opposition from the DMK Govt. Our Honorable Railway Minister recently stated that out of the 3,389 hectares of land required for various railway projects in Tamil Nadu, only 26% has been acquired by the DMK Govt. For the Madurai-Tuticorin via Aruppukkottai new line, approximately 870.98 hectares of land were needed, but the TN Govt had only acquired 74.87 hectares. The DMK government's snail-paced progress has now become a roadblock to the economic prosperity of the people in Aruppukkottai. @BJP4TamilNadu vehemently condemns the DMK Govt for its haphazard approach and along with the people of Virudhu Nagar Dist, we will stage a protest against the DMK government's decision to scrap the new railway line in Aruppukkottai on January 20, 2025. #ReverseGearDMK
