The claim
Vaniyambadi Town of Tamil Nadu is known as "Aligarh of South India". Vaniyambadi Muslim Educational Society organises the National Urdu Book Fair every year. They even demand removal of Tamil as compulsory language and demand Urdu as 1st language.
