We have 5 properties: taste, sound, smell, light, and touch. Similarly, they conducted this study to see what the nature of the entire universe is. They have discovered that only one property, sound, is present throughout the universe. This study was talked about all over the world. Because if sound is something that exists all over the world, how important would it be? But, Manivasagar mentioned the same idea in his book Thiruvasakam a thousand years ago.

LIGO - Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory என்ற ஆய்வை பிரபஞ்சத்தில் மேற்கொண்டார்கள். இந்த ஆய்வின் அடிப்படை என்னவென்றால் பிரபஞ்சம் முழுவதும் என்ன சக்தி இருக்கிறது என்பதை கண்டுபிடிப்பது தான். நமக்கு சுவை, ஓசை, ஊறு, ஒளி, நாற்றம் என்று 5 தன்மைகள் இருக்கின்றன. இதே போன்று பிரபஞ்சம் முழுக்க என்ன தன்மை இருக்கும் என்று இந்த ஆய்வை மேற்கொண்டு பார்த்தார்கள். ஒலி என்ற ஒரே ஒரு தன்மை மட்டும் தான் பிரபஞ்சத்தில் முழுவதும் நிறைந்து இருக்கிறது என்று கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளார்கள். இந்த ஆய்வு உலகம் முழுவதும் பேசப்பட்டது. ஏனென்றால் ஒலி என்ற ஒன்று தான் உலகம் முழுவதும் இருக்கிறது என்றால் அதற்கு எவ்வளவு முக்கியத்துவம் இருக்கும். ஆனால் இதே கருத்தை ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே மணிவாசகர் தன்னுடைய திருவாசகம் நூலில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
