Design of Ram Mandir which is supposed to be built in Ayodhya

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

FACTLY investigated a video circulating as the design of the Ram Mandir planned for Ayodhya. It reports finding a similar video on Kems Studio’s YouTube channel, uploaded on 03 June 2014—years before the Supreme Court verdict in the Ram Mandir case on 09 November 2019. That chronology undermines the video’s attribution as a design made for the temple after the verdict.

Indians in Spain celebrating the construction of Ayodhya Ram Mandir

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The claim concerns a video of Indians dancing in Spain that was shared as showing celebrations for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. FACTLY says the footage instead shows a performance by the Mumbai-based group Swargandhar Dhol Tasha Pathak at an International Folk music festival in Spain in 2018. The review describes using reverse image searches on screenshots from the circulating video. It says this led to videos with similar visuals on the dance group’s YouTube channel, and it connects the footage to the group’s 2018 festival performance. The review also points to a Mid-Day report about the group’s selection to perform at the festival. That provenance places the dance footage at a 2018 cultural event, rather than the later construction-related celebrations alleged in the post. The review therefore concludes that the video was misrepresented as showing those celebrations.

Photos of houses and bridge pillars in Ayodhya painted with images of Hindu deities as part of the preparations for Ram temple’s ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ event

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The claim concerned photos of houses and bridge pillars painted with Hindu deities, said to show Ayodhya being prepared for the Ram temple’s Bhoomi Pujan. The review notes that the ceremony was scheduled for 5 August 2020 and says the images were being shared as evidence of preparations in Ayodhya. Its investigation instead identifies the depicted places as being in Prayagraj (Allahabad).
