Hemos demostrado que somos la fuerza parlamentaria que más iniciativas presentamos
Publisher’s rating: Verdad a medias
The claim concerns Irene Montero’s assertion that Unidos Podemos was the parliamentary group presenting the most initiatives in Spain’s Congress. Newtral’s review says the group’s total number of initiatives for the outgoing legislature supported that part of her statement: Unidos Podemos submitted 3,414, more than the PSOE, PP, Ciudadanos, Grupo Mixto, ERC and the Grupo Vasco. The review adds a qualification: groups had different numbers of deputies, so raw totals alone do not show how active each group was relative to its size. Newtral compares average initiatives per deputy and finds Grupo Mixto first, at 73.3, and ERC second, at 53.6. Unidos Podemos averaged 51, placing third, ahead of Ciudadanos at 45. On that measure, it was not the leading group. Thus, the claim is supported if “most initiatives” means the largest aggregate total, but not if it means the most initiatives per deputy. The review’s conclusion rests on those two distinct comparisons, and its text labels the statement “VERDAD A MEDIAS.”
Los medios han contribuido a llevar a portadas cosas (de Podemos) que de otros partidos nunca aparecen, como pasa hoy en Ciudadanos
Publisher’s rating: Falso
Irene Montero argued that news outlets had put matters involving Podemos on their front pages that were not similarly covered for other parties, citing Ciudadanos as a current example. In the interview, she said irregularities in Ciudadanos’ Castilla y León primary elections were not on any front page except in a small space in El País. The review directly checked that claim about the prominence of this specific story, rather than assessing media coverage of political parties in general. Newtral says it examined the front pages of major general-interest newspapers for that day. It reports that ABC gave the story its sole front-page item, La Razón made it the main story, and El País, El Mundo, El Periódico and La Vanguardia also included a front-page reference. That evidence contradicts Montero’s assertion that the story appeared only in a small space in El País. The review also says it checked digital outlets’ front pages: the story had been reported the previous day and appeared on the websites of El Confidencial, Infolibre and El Español. The review’s conclusion is based on the breadth of front-page placement it reports across both print and digital media, not on a claim that every outlet covered the story identically.

In ‘four years’ of tenure, PM Narendra Modi made 41 trips to 52 countries, and spent more than Rs 355 crore on them.
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The Quint examined a social-media post that attributed 41 trips to 52 countries and spending of more than Rs 355 crore to Narendra Modi during his “four years” as prime minister. Its review says the post’s figures were wrong, but the comparison requires separating the travel count from the expenditure claim. For the broader period through December 2018, the review reports that data provided in the Rajya Sabha by Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh recorded 48 trips to 53 countries. It then says that applying the post’s four-year timeframe yields fewer trips, although the excerpt does not state the exact four-year trip count. The expense comparison points in the opposite direction from the post’s implication that Rs 355 crore was a large total: according to figures the review attributes to the Ministry of External Affairs, total expenses were Rs 2,021.65 crore, including chartered-flight, aircraft-maintenance and hotline charges. For the first four years, the review gives a total of Rs 1,566.58 crore—nearly four times the Rs 355.30 crore claimed. Thus, the review’s evidence challenges both the trip-count and spending figures, with its clearest quantified comparison being the much higher expense total.

[L'autonomia differenziata] significa dare al Veneto 6 miliardi in più rispetto all’attuale spesa storica
Publisher’s rating: Nì
The claim concerns the proposed differentiated autonomy for Veneto and whether it would leave the region with €6 billion more each year than it receives under the current arrangement. The review says that Campania’s president, Vincenzo De Luca, criticized the proposal on that basis: it “farebbe rimanere nelle casse della regione del Nord 6 miliardi di euro l’anno in più rispetto a quanto non accada ora.” The excerpt does not establish that the extra amount would in fact be transferred to Veneto. It says that, at the time, it was impossible to determine with certainty either how resources transferred from the state to regions seeking greater autonomy would be allocated or in what amounts. It adds that these questions were to be decided by a commission with representatives of both the region and the state. The review further notes that only a draft agreement between the state and each of the three regions involved existed, and says that this draft did not permit reliable calculations of the financial consequences. Thus, the excerpt treats the €6 billion figure as an unverified claim: the available agreement did not settle the allocation rules or amounts needed to confirm it.
