The posts presented a crowd in an arena singing “Eu sou Bolsonaro, com muito orgulho, com muito amor” as footage of Jair Bolsonaro at the 2023 Agrishow. One post said it was filmed in Ribeirão Preto on April 30; another attributed it to May 1. The investigation found that the arena video was actually from Bolsonaro’s appearance at the Festa do Peão de Barretos on August 26, 2022. The event organizer’s press office confirmed that provenance, and the review reports that the video shows Bolsonaro, Tarcísio de Freitas and Marcos Pontes in the same shirts as in the posts. (S1) The distinction matters because Bolsonaro did attend the Agrishow in Ribeirão Preto on May 1, 2023, and people there sang songs in support of him. Video of Kamala Harris’s drunken speech

FACTLY examined a viral video that appeared to show U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris making unclear remarks while drunk. The review identifies the underlying footage as an excerpt from Harris’s speech at a reproductive-rights event at Howard University, but concludes that the incoherent-sounding audio was not her speech: it had been added to the footage as a voice-over by a Harris impersonator. Thus, the video misrepresented edited audio as Harris speaking under the influence of alcohol. The review describes comparing the viral clip with the event’s published transcript and with video on the Facebook page of NARAL Pro-Choice America, an event co-sponsor. It reports that the transcript did not contain the “today/yesterday” gaffe heard in the viral clip, and that the event footage did not show incoherent speech. At about the one-hour mark in the event video, however, Harris’s gestures matched those in the viral clip, supporting the conclusion that the genuine video footage had been reused with different audio. FACTLY also traced the added voice-over: the viral video appeared on a Twitter account called “Ramble Rants,” which later posted another video of a Harris impersonator.
