Das Video wurde angeblich am Sonntagabend in El Salvador aufgenommen, nachdem sich der amtierende Präsident noch vor Auszählung aller Stimmen zum erneuten Sieger der Präsidentschaftswahl erklärt hatte: "El Salvador feiert, nachdem Nayib Bukele beindruckende 87 Prozent der Stimmen gewinnt", heißt es zum Beispiel in einem X-Post, der am Morgen nach der Wahl bereits um 8 Uhr salvadorianischer Zeit rund 400.000-mal und einen Tag später mehr als 800.000-mal angezeigt wurde. Auch andere Nutzer verbreiteten das Video im Kontext der Wahl.
