The review found no evidence that Kumar Dharmasena made the attributed statement and reports that he denied making it. It concludes that he did not say he would withhold his vote from the JVP because his parents were killed in 1988/89.

Auf dem Bild ist ein Wahlplakat von Jacinda Ardern zu sehen.

Publisher’s rating: Das Foto wurde nachträglich bearbeitet. Das Wahlplakat existiert in dieser Form nicht.

The image circulated online as an election poster featuring New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. It appeared to advertise booking a Christmas booster and to suggest that each booster provided up to six months of freedom; it also included a disclaimer and a link presented as a New Zealand government website. The review compared the circulating image with archived election advertising and other evidence about the poster’s original appearance. The New Zealand Election Ads archive showed that the original poster instead read “Let’s keep moving.” The review reports that it contained no mention of vaccination or freedom linked to vaccination, and that the disclaimer and link in the circulating image were absent from the original. This comparison supports the conclusion that the image had been altered, rather than showing a genuine poster in the form shared online.
