The claim concerned a photo showing a 490 g pack of Munchee Super Cream Cracker priced at Rs. 442, presented as evidence that its usual price had dropped from Rs. 590 because consumers had stopped buying the biscuits. The review checked whether that lower price represented a lasting reduction, rather than simply relying on the image: it says it checked prices in shops and online supermarkets and contacted both the biscuit maker, Ceylon Biscuits (CBL), and retailer Keells. According to the account, CBL provided Keells with a 20% promotional discount for about three weeks, and Keells added a further discount.
