This video shows the Sweden Presidential palace engulfed in fire
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The claim is that a video depicts Sweden’s Presidential palace engulfed in flames. FACTLY’s review identifies the footage instead as showing a fire at a historic post office building in Manila, Philippines, in May 2023. It says that one person sustained minor injuries in the incident. To investigate where the video came from, the review reports conducting a reverse image search on keyframes from the footage. That search led to news reports about the Manila fire. FACTLY also compared the building in the video with the Manila post office, finding that the two resembled each other. The review concludes that the footage is from the Manila fire, not the claimed Swedish location.
