Claim: Crocodile escaped from crocodile in Gujarat flood

Publisher’s rating: FALSE HEADLINE

The claim concerns a Samayam Tamil headline about a crocodile in Gujarat during flooding. Fact Crescendo’s review says the headline described the scene as a crocodile escaping from another crocodile, while the video showed a different animal getting away. The review identifies the Samayam Tamil post as reporting a crocodile that entered a residential area amid heavy rain, and says its headline was internally contradictory: it described a crocodile escaping from a crocodile.

Claim: Russian Man rescued alive from a bear den after one month

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The review investigated a Facebook post claiming that a Russian hunter had been kept in a bear’s den as prey and rescued alive. It reports that the story had also been published by Kalaignar Seithigal on June 27, 2019, and circulated on other websites and Facebook. The fact-check’s focus was the identity of the person shown in the post, rather than whether a bear-den rescue had ever occurred.
