The last speech of the Hyderabad Veterinary Doctor who was raped and murdered.
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The claim concerned a social-media video said to show the last speech of the Hyderabad Veterinary Doctor who was raped and murdered. FACTLY’s review concluded that the woman speaking in the video was not the victim, but Allola Divya Reddy, founder of Klimom Wellness & Farms. The review states: “The woman in the video is not the Hyderabad Veterinary Doctor who was raped and murdered. She is Allola Divya Reddy, the founder of Klimom Wellness & Farms.” To identify the woman, the review says it checked the video itself: at 0:37, her name appears as “Divya Allola Reddy” and she is identified with Klimom. It then reports searching for Klimom and checking the organization’s website, where the speech was attributed to Divya Allola Reddy as the founder of Klimom when she received the National Gopal Ratna Award 2018. The review also says the extended version of the video had been uploaded to Klimom’s YouTube channel. The review further reports that Klimom posted about the event on Twitter and Facebook, and that an ABN Telugu video identified Divya Reddy as the daughter-in-law of Telangana Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy. These details support the review’s identification of the speaker as Divya Reddy, rather than the victim. The evidence described addresses who appears in the circulated video; it does not establish that the footage is the victim’s last speech.
Claim: Missing child baby found in Valliyur
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The viral post said that the girl in a photograph was at Valliyur police station in Tirunelveli district and urged people to share the image, offering a phone number for contact. Fact Crescendo reports that the post was shared on social media after a user named Subramanian published it on December 9, 2019. The fact-check contacted the number shown in the post to ask whether it belonged to the station. People who answered said the claim was false and that no such incident had occurred in Valliyur. The review also traced the photograph. Its reverse-image search led to a Malayalam Manorama report about the same picture being circulated with a different account: that the girl had gone missing after police action at Sabarimala and was at a police station in Tirunelveli. That report identified her as Akshara Kishore, a child who appeared in Malayalam films and television programs, and said the photograph was taken when she participated in an Ayyappa devotional song in 2017. Fact Crescendo says it then searched for Akshara Kishore and found her official Facebook page. The image in question was posted there on November 9, 2017, and the review also found her image in an advertisement for an Ayyappa devotional song. Taken together, the station’s denial and the photograph’s identified earlier use support the review’s conclusion: the image did not establish that the girl was at Valliyur police station, and the post’s claim about her location was false.

Encounter photo of accused in Hyderabad Veterinarian Disha rape case.
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The post claimed that its photo showed the encounter of the accused in the Hyderabad veterinarian Disha rape case. FACTLY concluded the image was not from that encounter: it showed a 2015 encounter in Chittoor district, where Andhra Pradesh police killed red sanders smugglers. The review states: “The photo in the post is not related to the recent Hyderabad encounter. It’s a photo of an encounter in Chittoor district in the year 2015, where AP police killed few red sanders smugglers.” To check the image, the review says it used Google reverse image search and found a similar photo in a 2015 article by The Hindu. FACTLY reports that article identified the image as relating to the encounter of red sanders smugglers by Andhra Pradesh police in Chittoor district. The mismatch in event, location and subjects is the basis for rejecting the post’s attribution.

Children found missing on a Mumbai train.
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The viral post claimed that a photograph showed children found missing on a Mumbai train. FACTLY reports that reverse-image searching with Yandex found a similar photograph in a July 2019 tweet. That tweet had asked Agra Police about the image after it circulated with a different claim that missing children had been found at an Agra police station. The review says Agra Police replied on July 15, 2019, that the case concerned Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and that local police had already handed the children to their families. This directly contradicts the post’s description of the pictured children as missing on a Mumbai train. FACTLY concludes that the claim is false.

The post combined two claims about a proposed amendment to Taiwan’s Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act: that drug use would be decriminalized, and that people who use drugs would instead receive treatment and write a letter of remorse. The review concluded that the first claim was wrong and the second was only partly accurate. It reports that Article 10 still made use of first- and second-level narcotics a criminal offense, so the proposal did not remove criminal liability for drug use.

Image shows encounter of hyderabad rape and murder accused
Publisher’s rating: FALSE
The claim concerned photographs circulated after the December 6, 2019, police encounter in Hyderabad, in which four men accused in a rape-and-murder case were killed. The Quint reports that the police had taken the accused to the crime scene to recreate it, and that posts then presented the circulating photograph as encounter imagery. It also says TV9 Gujarati shared the same visuals, which appeared in posts by other users. The review’s verdict is that the photograph was not from the Hyderabad incident. The review traces the image to a different event in 2015: the deaths of 20 woodcutters from Tamil Nadu in an alleged police encounter in Andhra Pradesh’s Seshachalam forest. It reports that the anti-smuggling taskforce had found nearly 100 woodcutters felling and carrying red-sanders logs. These details place the photograph in a separate event, location and year from the Hyderabad encounter, and explain why using it as a depiction of that 2019 encounter was misleading. The Quint says it used a reverse image search, which led it to a 2015 article in The Hindu titled “20 woodcutters from TN gunned by AP police.” That article carried the same image. The review therefore supports its conclusion through an earlier publication of the image, rather than relying only on the social-media captions. It does not establish from the excerpt who first recirculated the photograph or the full circumstances of the 2015 deaths.
