The claim circulated with a short interview clip in which a woman identified as “Vera Vayiman” was described as a former OSCE observer. She alleged that laboratories in Ukraine contained children’s remains whose organs had been removed for sale. The review examined the woman’s identity and the claimed OSCE connection, rather than treating the clip’s description as proof of either. To identify her, the review used the name shown in the video and reverse-image searches to find a higher-resolution version and earlier footage. It compared visible features, including her hair whorl, nose and pronounced nasolabial folds, and also compared the voices. The review then found Russian-language reporting identifying the woman as Vera Nikulina, a youth representative from Vladivostok, and traced her appearance to an OSCE youth forum in Warsaw in November 2014. The OSCE press office confirmed that Vera Nikulina had attended that forum, but said that neither a person named Vera Nikulina nor one named Vera Vayiman had worked for the OSCE or its Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. The office also said the OSCE’s Special Monitoring Mission had no reports or records of organ-trafficking incidents of the kind alleged. The review therefore distinguishes attendance at an OSCE-hosted youth event from employment by the organization, and reports no OSCE documentation supporting the alleged incidents.
