A graphic published by CNN shows that India suffered greater losses than Pakistan in the ongoing conflict between the two countries.

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

The review found that CNN did not publish the viral infographic, after checking CNN’s website and social media accounts and finding no such graphic. It also reports that a CNN spokesperson confirmed CNN had not published it. Neither country had officially announced losses of weapons or military combat equipment since Operation Sindoor began on 07 May 2025, according to the review.

This photo shows the front page of The Daily Telegraph’s 10 May 2025’s edition, which published a news story calling the Pakistan Air Force ‘The Undisputed King of the Skies.’

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

FACTLY investigated a circulating image that purported to show The Daily Telegraph’s 10 May 2025 front page praising the Pakistan Air Force. The review says the image was shared amid India–Pakistan tensions following Operation Sindoor. It concludes that the image was AI-generated rather than a genuine newspaper front page. The review describes several checks. A keyword search found no such story on The Telegraph’s online edition and no comparable article from another reputed media organisation. FACTLY also examined the 10 May edition’s e-paper and reported that it did not contain the headlines shown in the viral image. Those checks address both whether the story appeared online and whether it appeared in the particular print edition named in the claim. The review further compared the image with the original front page. It points to differences in layout and the placement of the dateline and URL, and to an apparent URL error: “telegraph, cuk” instead of “telegraph.co.uk.” In an uncropped version of the circulating image, FACTLY found jumbled text and spelling errors. It also reports that two AI-detection tools flagged the image as likely AI-generated. Taken together, these checks support the conclusion that the image does not show an authentic Daily Telegraph front page.

The visuals show that Indian pilot Shivangi Singh has been captured in Pakistan amid the ongoing military tensions between India and Pakistan.

Publisher’s rating: FALSE

FACTLY found that the viral visuals were old or unrelated to the India–Pakistan clashes and did not show Shivangi Singh captured in Pakistan. It also reported that no credible reports confirmed her arrest and that, on 11 May 2025, Air Marshal AK Bharti said all pilots involved in Operation Sindoor had returned safely.
