Its researchers found the footage had circulated since at least 2017, but said they could not independently verify its location.

Research from related reporting identifies the video as footage of an Indian Air Force MiG-21 that crashed during a training sortie in Barmer, Rajasthan, in July 2022—not a Pakistani jet shot down in Bajaur. The excerpt also says there were no media reports regarding the claimed incident.

Publisher’s rating: DW Fact check: Misleading Some users in the commentsinterpret the image as being taken after the current ceasefire went into effect. That is not what this is. A reverse image search reveals that the photo is actually a still from a longer video. It is circulating with similar claims, for instance in Russian, stating: "As soon as there is a ceasefire, Gaza is full of pumped-up, armed men in military uniform". These posts suggest the footage is from the latest ceasefire, but the video is old and unrelated to current events. A 17-second video was already postedon January 26, 2025. Back then, the people in Gaza were celebrating the peace deal that was in effect from January 19 to March 18, 2025.
Claim: "All of the female hostages are dead. Where is the outrage? Savages", wrote Laura Loomer, an influential far-right activist, following the news of the release of Israeli hostages on October 13, 2025.
Publisher’s rating: DW Fact check: False Here’s why it’s false: On October 13, only male hostages were released. But most of the surviving female hostages were already freed during the November 2023 ceasefire. In fact, more than 70 female hostages have been returned to their families.
Claim: "BREAKING — Gaza Civil Defense: We found booby-trapped children's toys and canned food that the occupation deliberately planted to cause more casualties," an X user wrote, in reference to Israel.

The review says the video is old and had circulated as footage of clashes in Marib’s Wadi Abidah, not clashes between army forces and Houthi fighters east of Taiz. It reports that the Wadi Abidah fighting involved members of the Al-Hatik and Al-Fajeeh tribes and left two people dead and four injured.

With only half an hour remaining for the ultimatum issued by Turkiye, France issued a statement stating that the Indian warship fleet was on its designated route and was not encroaching on any country. Seeing its strategic and international position weaken, Turkiye tried to stir things up, but all its efforts were in vain. And, the Indian warship fleet proudly set off for Greece. Here, the cynics of the moment may continue to gloat about Modi, but under his leadership, India is respected and seen as a major power worldwide. India stepped out of the Indian Ocean and controlled China's bullying in the Red Sea, and today stripped Türkiye of its self-esteem in the Mediterranean Sea...
