There are several claims on social media that Facebook has started a new feature to honour Wing Commander Abhinandan who was released from Pakistan’s captivity on Friday evening.
The claims state that “Facebook honours Fighter pilot Abhinandan; if you type ‘Abhinandan’ it turns orange and the balloons burst.”
However, the claims going viral on social media are not correct.
This feature, called “Text Delight” has been an active feature on Facebook since 2017.
