The claim
The video shows Canadian police arresting Khalistani protesters shortly before Prime Minister Modi arrived at the G7 Summit.
Original review summary
The review identifies the footage as showing a 22 September 2024 arrest in Nassau County, New York, not an arrest in Canada before the 2025 G7 Summit. It says protests took place in Calgary on 16 June 2025, but the review found no credible reports or official statements confirming arrests connected to them.[S1]
Additional context
The review says the 2024 incident occurred during Modi’s US visit and involved police in Nassau County, New York. [S1]
