The claim
The Photo of a diseased chicken is from a recent bird flu outbreak in Hyderabad in 2025.
Original review summary
The review found the same photo in a Facebook post from April 2015 and said it had also appeared in older reports about chicken diseases. Although bird flu was confirmed in Telangana’s Yadadri district, the review said no cases had been confirmed in Hyderabad and the photo was unrelated to the recent outbreak.[S1]
