The Philippines’ exclusive rights in its EEZ covers only non-living resources such as oil. It is up to the country whether to share it. Sharing of resources does not constitute a violation of sovereign rights. It is all right when the deal is advantageous. But we would not know if it’s advantageous unless we negotiate.
