The official handle of BJP’s Karnataka wing on 16 April tweeted the letter dated on 10 July 2017 allegedly addressed to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi with claims of dividing Karnataka votes on religious lines. But it is a fake letter that was originally viral in 2018.
