Linda Scott, president of Local Government NSW (LGNSW), claims the NSW government needs to work with councils to create a sustainable recycling industry to stop “skyrocketing” costs. Ms Scott claims recycling risks being “lost” as a result of China’s move to ban the import of 24 categories of solid waste and kerbside recycling from Australia.
