Fact check: North Wales main line will receive £1 billion of former HS2 funding

Since the parts of HS2 which would have extended beyond the London to Birmingham leg were scrapped, remaining funds for the project have been redistributed. This includes £1 billion designated for electrifying the North Wales main line.
