The claim

Facebook page called “Pey Pey Ly” recently posted two photos showing a line of artillery sets along a beach. The post was accompanied by the caption, “I think China is strong, the truth is they’re only barking”. This post has received a lot of mixed reactions from Khmer-speaking Facebook users as they believed that those photos were really China’s artillery guns lining to attack Taiwan. This comes after China reaffirmed its threat to use military force to bring self-governing Taiwan under its control, amid threatening Chinese military exercises that have raised tensions between the sides to their highest level in years.
