The claim

Original review summary

The review says the claim is false: WHO standards are recommendations, not legal requirements, and do not recommend using sex toys or pornography in lessons. It reports that the standards address child development and questions children may raise, not instruction to promote those activities.[S1]

Additional context

The WHO and Germany’s Federal Centre for Health Education published the standards in 2011. The review describes them as a framework and says their implementation is voluntary. [S1]
