The claim
A photo depicting a portrait photo of a former opposition activist, Peypey Ly, attached with RIP, was posted a few days ago with a caption stating she’s dead due to a traffic accident. The claim has been widely shared on social media platforms and reacted to by Khmer-speaking Facebook users. However, we found the claim to be false.
