The claim
A 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Alaska early Thursday morning, following which a tsunami warning was issued, although it was later cancelled. The epicentre of the earthquake was near Popof Island. Alaska is an earthquake-active region, and this incident occurred due to the collision of tectonic plates. The damage caused by the earthquake is not yet known.
