Top 7 Marketing Tools of 2020
A ton happened in 2020 and sometimes we wish we could circle back to before all the chaos or fast forward to the future. With so much in flux, it’s important to revisit the tools in your marketing toolbox.
Here are the top seven tools that we use everyday.
- Content Creation – Canva
Canva has been on our radar. You can use Canva to create social content with premade designs. The new mobile application has video creation capabilities for creating Instagram stories.
- Influencer Marketing – Instagram
This year, the top two most effective marketing sources for influencer marketing were Instagram Posts and Instagram Stories. There are a multitude of tools available to help you identify Instagram influencers to promote your products.
- Connecting Tools – Zapier
Zapier is a handy tool that every marketer should have in their back-pocket. When you combine PeakMetrics and Zapier, you can use Zapier to track media mentions for a brand and transfer the results to a Google Sheet for easy access and reporting in the future.
- Customer Engagement – Loom
With Loom, you can use your screen to record and publish/export videos with narration. We use Loom all the time to record quick tutorial videos for customer support.
- Content Strategy – Hootsuite
We use Hootsuite to automatically publish relevant content to our social channels. With our WordPress blog, we schedule posts in advanced to distribute through all of our social channels. Hootsuite is great to maintain a consistent communication schedule.
- Collaboration – Slack
There are so many ways to communicate with your team, our favorite is Slack. Internally, we use Slack to chat about upcoming posts, long-term strategies and campaigns.
- Media Monitoring, Reporting, and Journalist Outreach – PeakMetrics
PeakMetrics interacts with all of the tools above, as single dashboard for your marketing needs. If you need a tool to help with media monitoring, creating beautiful reports for your clients, or for reaching out to journalists, be sure to check us out.
